The Ego and Mental Body Entanglement
Why 99% of Your Thoughts Aren't Yours
The voice in your head is not thinking.
It's your ego.
You have 8,000 to 12,000 thoughts a day, and almost none of them are yours. They arrive on their own. They loop. They pull you into the past and push you into the future.
That's not thinking. Thinking is something you consciously do…………….1+1=2
These are thoughts. And the ego produces them for one reason:
Thoughts create emotions. Emotions create your reality.
Which means the reality you're living right now wasn't created by your mind.
It was created by your ego.
And your Mental Body, the part of you designed for true thinking, has been so entangled with the ego's thoughts that you've never known the difference.
Until now.
Why Does the Ego Do This?
The ego's job is to keep you safe.
But whose definition of safe?
Yours? Or the ego's?
The present you? Or the past you?
Because the ego isn't protecting who you are today. It's protecting who you were when you got hurt. The child who was rejected. The woman who was betrayed. The version of you who didn't feel safe and never forgot it.
And how does it keep that past you safe?
It brings up the past.
Because you've already lived it. You already survived it. To the ego, the past is known, and known is safe.
So it replays it. Over and over.
Then it goes further.
It creates narratives that stop you from doing anything new.
That's not for people like you.
You tried that once. Remember how it went?
Who do you think you are?
Every narrative is a wall. And every wall keeps you inside what you already know.
And if you still try to move forward?
It creates doubts about the future.
What if it doesn't work?
What if you lose everything?
What if you're not enough?
Not because the future is dangerous. Because the future is unknown. And the ego cannot protect you from what it doesn't know.
So it fills your future with doubt, until the only choice that feels safe is the one you've already made.
And you repeat the past.
Not because the present you wants to. Because the past you is still the one being protected.
How the Mental Body Is Meant to Work
Your Mental Body was never meant to be a storage room for the ego's fears.
It was meant to be a tool. Clear. Precise. Yours.
And when it's working the way it should, it does four things.
It stays in the present.
The Mental Body only deals with what's true right now. Not what happened then. Not what might happen someday. Now is the only place real thinking can happen, because now is the only place you can actually act.
It discerns.
It knows the difference between a memory and a fact. Between a fear and a truth. When a thought shows up, it asks: Is this true now, or was it true then?
The ego can't answer that question. The Mental Body can.
It chooses.
Thoughts happen to you. Thinking is a choice. The Mental Body decides where your attention goes, what you focus on, and what you're willing to give your energy to.
It creates.
And this is the part most people have never experienced.
Remember: thoughts create emotions, and emotions create your reality.
When the ego is running your mind, it creates emotions from the past, and your reality keeps repeating.
But when the Mental Body is thinking, it creates emotions from the present. Clarity. Curiosity. Possibility. Excitement.
And those emotions create something new.
That's how the Mental Body is meant to work.
Not to protect you from your life.
To help you create it.
How to Break Free from the Entanglement
You don't break free by fighting the ego.
You break free by seeing it.
